My Little Big Motivator

I am very thankful for Atalisa for a million different reasons, but recently she has been my inspiration and motivation to stay on track especially as I start my day!

I usually will have my devotions with her in the morning. We'll pray and then I read a few chapters out loud from the Bible while she flips through her little pink Bible.

The other morning she was awake playing in our room while I tried to get a few more zzz's before getting up to start my day. It was one of those mornings where I felt very lazy, and really didn't want to get up. She woke me up by bring me my Bible and putting in right by my face saying, "Bibe, bibe". I knew I couldn't let her down-after all I do want to teach her that the Bible is the most important book! So I groggily pulled myself up, and am so thankful I did as we had a wonderful time in God's Word.

It's amazing how kids keep you accountable and motivated! I'm thankful that they thrive with consistency and regularity! She motivates me to keep being a good example--one that I wouldn't be ashamed if she emulated.

During this pregnancy I've been using the exercise DVD Mom's into Fitness . It has been a great exercise program that I can do while pregnant. Usually Aty will try to do it with me; it's so cute to watch her try to imitate the exercises! So many times she will go to my laptop (which is where we do the dvd), and say, "ice, ice" (her version of saying exercise) as she moves her arms up and down. She keeps me on track and is my little exercise companion!

Labor Day Picnic

This Labor Day we decided to go on our picnic that has become a tradition since we got married! It is the third year that we have gone, and we always have so much fun being together as a little family- enjoying the outdoors and God's wonderful creation, and of course good food!

Daddy and his little "Sugar bear"!

Getting to be so big!

Love kisses from our sweet girl!

Our little family!

24 Weeks And A New Home!

Well a lot has happened lately! We found out our offer was accepted on a house and also found out what we are having! So keep reading :) Exciting times!

How far along? 24 weeks
Weight gain so far? 14 lbs.

Still wearing regular clothes? Mostly, at least the ones that are stretchy :)

Have you heard the heartbeat?: YES! It is wonderful when you first get to hear their little heart beat! It really makes this new little life I'm carrying much more of a reality!
Gender: Another GIRL!

Stretch Marks? No, and hopefully we won't get any thanks to Arbonne's firming body cream! I love their products because as their motto states their products are "pure, safe, and beneficial"! I started my own buisness as an independent consultant and one of the perks is getting to use their amazing products! If you are interested let me know and I will be glad to get you more info!

Who do you think baby will look like? Don't know. Most people say Atalisa looks more like her daddy so hopefully the next one will look more like me :) But I love seeing how God combines two people and makes them into one new individual with a little from each!

What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I love feeling the little life inside do their little gymnastics to let you know they are there!

Have you and dad felt baby move? Oh yes! All the time!

When did you start to show? Around 14 weeks I'd say.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!

Do you have any cravings? Nope.

Any complications? Thankfully not.

Labor signs?: None

Symptoms: Starting to get the the uncomfortable stage, over halfway through though!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Best moment this week? The offer on our house has been accepted! It definitely has been a long process, but I think God wanted us to realize it was going to be all him! We are very thankful for the miracle that He's doing on our behalf!

The last house I told you all about ended up not working out which we are thankful for now! They ended up changing their mind about fixing the electrical, and so for the second time we pulled our offer.

We looked at several more houses the following weekend, and we saw the house! In a very nice neighborhood, a big back yard that backs up to trees, deck, two car garage, 3 bedroom and 3 baths, on a quiet cul-de-sac.

They were asking more than what was our price range so we weren't sure if they'd accept our lower offer. Our Realtor called to see if there were any other offers and there was only one more other than ours.

We prayed that if God wanted us to have it He would work out all the details! It was definitely a miracle because the other Realtor pulled it off the website so the bank couldn't wait for anymore offers to come in. He told them that he thought our offer was the best and he thought they should accept it. They countered, but we kept our price and they ended up accepting!

It's so much better than the several other houses we put offers on and didn't get, and has room for us to grow! God is so good!! Now for the fun of closing and making it our home!

Who will help with baby after their born? Probably my wonderful mother or sisters will come to help out for a little bit.

Have you bought anything for baby yet? Not yet. Since it's a girl thankfully I'll already have a lot of stuff!

Any days you wish you weren't pregnant?: For the most part I do really enjoy being prego. Starting to get a little uncomfortable tho, but that's probably God's way of getting us ready for labor.

Sleep? Been sleeping pretty well for the most part.

Looking forward to: Getting settled into our new house!

Wanting to pose for a picture too!

24 weeks!

Little Princess

Atalisa and I had a fun time playing outside the other day, and I had fun capturing some of her many facial expressions! She is so expressive-like her daddy!! I love it!

Pretty girl!

So in love with our sweet girl!

Flying by...

I can't believe that I'm already at the halfway point in this pregnancy! Time sure has a way of flying!

Moving to a different state in the middle of a pregnancy made things a little difficult in finding a doctor/midwife that would take our insurance and that still had openings for a January baby. I was getting a little discouraged after several calls and still no success. As always though the Lord provides in His perfect time, and Lord willing I have an appointment as soon as I get my medical records transferred over!

Here's a fun pregnancy questionnaire about my pregnancy so far.

How far along? 21 weeks

Weight gain so far? 10 lbs.

Still wearing regular clothes? Still can fit most of my tops, but am loving the belly band to give me extra wear out of my bottoms. Also, looking forward to making some from this tutorial!

Have you heard the heartbeat?: YES! It is wonderful when you first get to hear their little heart beat! It really makes this new little life I'm carrying much more of a reality!

What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I love being pregnant! I love feeling the little life inside do their little gymnastics to let you know they are there!

Have you and dad felt baby move? Yes, I've felt baby move a lot earlier on this pregnancy, and love it! Our little baby is especially active at night whenever I lie down. I think Stephen has felt baby move about once so far.

When did you start to show? Around 14 weeks I'd say.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!

Do you have any cravings? Nope, not really this time around. Though with Atalisa I really craved watermelon for some reason.

Any complications? Thankfully not so far.

Labor signs?: Nope

Symptoms: Starting to definitely look pregnant, getting some wonderful heartburn once in awhile too.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Best moment this week? We found an old house that we liked. We especially liked it because it is close to Stephen's work and it is in a really nice neighbor. It also has a really nice big back yard with some huge oak trees! We made an offer, but ended up pulling it because the whole house would need to be rewired, and we didn't want to deal with the expense of that right off. Since it was built in the 60's the electrical has no ground.

There was only our offer on the house and a cash offer. We found out this week that the cash offer fell through, and they are considering fixing the electric if we resubmit our offer- which we did so we will see what happens! God is so faithful to us, and is maybe trying to save us some money. Cause we didn't change the offer amount but they would still fix the electrical. We will see whether this is the house He has for us or not.
Who will help with baby after their born? Probably my wonderful mother or sisters will come to help out for a little bit.
Have you bought anything for baby yet? Not yet. First hopefully will get to find out what we're having! If it's a girl thankfully I'll already have a lot of stuff!

Any days you wish you weren't pregnant?: No, for the most part I do really enjoy being prego. :) Near the end it starts to get a little uncomfortable, but that's probably God's way of getting us ready for labor.

Sleep? Been sleeping pretty well for the most part.

Looking forward to: Getting to find out what we're going to have!! We're so excited!

Careers in Mommyhood

Had to laugh when I read this somewhere, but truly a career in mommyhood is the most amazingly awesome thing! It is so wonderful to be able to cuddle with our sweet girl. To feel her little hands hold my face while I receive her delightful kisses. To hear her say "mama" or ''daddy'' or "I wove wou."

Having a child to love and be loved by is such an amazing thing, and reminds me of the relationship we are privileged to have with our heavenly Father! When you see how much they trust and depend on you for their every need, and find comfort when they are hurt or distressed. How they need us to lead and guide them. If only we were always so trusting and dependent on our heavenly Father who loves us so much more!

It truly is a great responsibility that God has given us as parents! To train up our children in the way they should go according to His Word. It definitely keeps you humble and asking God for wisdom and consistency to raise them right! I pray that we would not just have good kids, but GODLY kids! Who serve Him with their whole heart!

The Love of My Life

Two years ago today, the most amazing man asked me to marry him!! So glad I said YES!

Admiring the most beautiful ring! Stephen knew my taste and chose the perfect ring!

ENGAGED!

It was such an awesome moment having him ask me to marry me and slip the ring on my finger!

Anna and Kate came along and captured the special moment.

Both of them ice skating.

It was such a special day! One that I will never forget and always cherish! The beginning of a new adventure together!

I am so thankful for MY man! Who loves me for who I am even with all my faults and shortcomings. A man who thinks I'm beautiful without makeup and thinks I don't need to wear it (though I think otherwise).  Who cheers me up and makes me laugh when I'm down. Who thinks my cooking is the best! Who tells me he's thinking about me during the day and prays for me. For all the thoughtful ways in which he shows his love!

Being in love with your best friend is an amazing thing!

My husband knows how to open up my heart, and treasures me! He loves with all he has, works hard, and has the best sense of humor! We are always having a good time. He is always such a gentleman.

God's amazing Word...

There are so many blessings that God has promised us when we delight and follow His Word. I have been challenged lately as we are doing a Bible study on Psalm 119. God's Word is something as Christians we can't afford not to be in daily.

God promises that we will be blessed when we walk and keep His Word as He has commanded us. How do we cleanse our way? By taking heed to His Word.  How do we keep from sin? By hiding God's Word in our heart.

It should be our delight and our counselors. Ps. 119:24 We are strengthened by God's Word. vs. 28

He teaches us, gives us understanding when we seek His Word. He makes us to know the path of His commandments. We are to incline our heart to it, and not to covetousness. We should long for it. We can trust in His Word. It gives us hope.  We will walk at liberty when we seek it. It gives us comfort in affliction. God's Word quickens us. It's a song on our pilgrimage.

God is our portion. He is all we need!

This is just a few of the many benefits of God's amazing Word! May we seek God daily in His Word, and make it our desire and delight!

Spring in Winter

It was a beautiful day and I took Aty outside. We were able to go out and enjoy the day.
Our smiley girl!

Discovering leaves!

They taste good too!

We experienced grass as well. Though we didn't like to crawl in it.
