Happy Thanksgiving {A Little Late}!

I thought since this is a time of year where we especially show gratefulness and thanks, I would list things that I am grateful for for each day of the month!

1. Thankful for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We all have sinned...done things we should not have. I'm so thankful Jesus Christ came into the world, died for our sins, and rose again on the third day, and is now in heaven! Do you know where you are going to go when you die? You can know and can have a wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ!

2. Grateful for God's constant faithfulness! How He unexpectedly provides at just the right times! Using the generosity of friends to meet a need.

3. Thankful for friends sending the blessing of beautiful clothes handed down for Atalisa and Bria!

4. Blessed beyond measure to have the wonderful husband that I do! A strong leader, who is Loving,Compassion, Patient, Humble, Loves His Lord, Stands up for what is right, Understands me like no one else, is so caring and thoughtful, and mostly has his priorities right! I'm so glad he is always spending time with me and his little girlies! Makes my heart glad to see and here him laughing and playing with them!

5. Thankful for a warm house on these cold mornings!

6. Thankful for the wonderful parents Stephen and I both have! So grateful for their godly example of putting God first in their lives, their selfless love to each other and each of their children! For exhorting us "to love and good works".

7. Thankful for candles burning, and the warm, homey atmosphere they help create!

8. Thankful for good deals! Love getting good coupons!! Especially when it's $10 off any purchase!

9. Thankful for the light above my sink in our kitchen! A friend commented on how nice it was to have a light. I said I wasn't crazy about the fixture ...kinda ugly and generic for me. She said, "at least you can be glad you have one". It's all a matter of perspective! Definitely  makes cleaning the dishes so much easier because I can see what I'm doing!

10.  Clean sheets. I know it sounds crazy, but especially having traveled abroad it makes me very thankful to go to bed with the wonderful smell of clean sheets!

11. Thankful for God's Word that is spiritual food that we need for each day! Oh how we need it each and every day to keep us from sin, and and on the straight and narrow!

12. For our beautiful girlies! How they brighten our days, and constantly make us laugh! It is a privilege to be their parents! It is sweet to see how much they love each other, even though they sometimes need a little help learning to share and be kind! :) They make the best playmates!

13. For the amazing, constant goodness of the Lord to us! I'm alway humbled and overwhelmed that he loves and cares for us in such a personally way!

14. For our house, and the wonderful year we've had here! For the miracle of how we got it, and how God knew the perfect house we'd need! After seven different offers not being accepted we definitely knew it was the Lord that orchestrated us getting our home sweet home!

15. For family- and the love and unity that we have {which we owe to the Lord, and our parents who made it a priority!}

16. The wonderful vacuum cleaner my husband spotted at a garage sale for $10! Probably originally over $200! Does a great job keeping our carpets clean.

17. For the Beautiful 70 degree day that we had today! Definitely makes you even more grateful when it's been cold for a while! Love the amazing fall smell, and being able to have our windows open!

18. For friends and church family we can fellowship with!

19. For safety and protection! The mercies of God are new every day! Great is His faithfulness!

20. For pinterest, and the creativity it inspires! Had to get this one in here! :)

21. For our beautiful backyard that reminds me of the country even though we live in a neighborhood... With it's gorgeous big trees and the birds that sweetly sing!

22. For the ability to travel to see family!

23. While a lot of the world doesn't even have access to clean running water; I'm thankful for not only clean running water, but hot water!

24. Thankful for herbs and essential oils! God is such an amazing Creator!

25. That we can experience all of our senses! The ability to taste a delicious meal, to touch my sweet baby's soft skin, to see a beautiful sunset with my love, to smell apple cider simmering, and hear happy birds chirping!

26. Thankful for the holidays! A time to be thankful and remember! A time to relax! A time to enjoy family and good food! A time to make special memories!!

27. For health. Something we often take so for granted!

28. Thankful for our grandparents, and that we have the privilege of knowing them! Enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with Stephen's grandparents in Florida! Special times!

29.Technology to communicate with those we love that are far away.

30. CHRISTmas {which will be here before we know it}!

Now off to deck the halls!

Hats

She loves hats! Reminds me when I was little!

Life From a Little One's Perspective!

Putting Aty to bed and she starts playing with my ear. {Side note: She loves ears! Not sure what her attraction to them is, but when Bria was born she would just sit and stroke her ears. Weird, I know, but Bria's ears are very soft.} Anyway, she says, "Mommy, is your ear an octagon?" "No, I hope not." My silly girl!

Aty got on her little bike then tells me, "Mommy, I going bye bye. I need hug." I give her a hug. She then says, "I need kiss." I give her a kiss. Then she says, "give me high five! "

We wake up and it's an overcast day. Aty says, "Mommy it's going to rain today."

Atalisa picking up her toys on the floor says, "Go Aty, Go Aty!"

We were driving to my sister's and Atalisa was getting sleepy, as she's drifting off and her eyes are closing she says, "choco-late, chocooolate." Then is fast asleep! She loves her chocolate!

Atalisa took the whisk attachment from my kitchen aid and started strumming it like it was a guitar! Think we have a musician on our hands! She loves music!!

Having devotions with Atalisa one morning. I started telling her the story of the Children of Israel crossing the Red Sea, and attempted to draw her a picture of the story. I told her, "all the people came to the water and it was too deep for them to cross, and the bad men of Pharoah's army were chasing them." She says, "they could swim?!" It always amazes me how much they understand, and motives me to be faithful in having devotions with them!

10 Months Old!

Where did the time go?!? Can't believe our Bria Mae is 10 months old already!  I seems like not long ago she made her fast entrance into this world! If you haven't read her birth story you can read it here.

There seems like there isn't much we can't do these days! We have been walking since a little before 9 months and lately have been trying to run! Gotta keep up with big sis!

Thankfully she has always been a good sleeper! Much better than her older sis who still sometimes ends up walking up in the early mornings and crawling into bed with us. Though both girls are very affectionate, Atalisa definitely is our cuddle bear! Bria's latest has been to sleep 13 hours! The first time she started this I went in her room to check and make sure she was still alive, and of course found her still sweetly sleeping!

Rocking herself back and forth, and quite proud of it!

Love dressing my girlies in RUFFLES especially when they are PINK!

 Love these sweet blue eyes!

We now have four teeth! That all broke though at the same time in the past couple weeks! Two bottom teeth, and the top left two. The other top two are about to pop though anytime now!

A little disappointed in the taste of leaves! We try to eat everything! She pretty much eats everything that we eat now, and is a hearty eater! Some of her favorites are: Whole wheat pancakes, chicken and brown rice, grapes, and sweet potatoes.  She does a good job feeding herself, and will hold a spoon and try to put the food on it with her hand! But usually ends up just eating with her hands. :)

We say "dada", and "mama", and try a few other words here and there.

Enjoying every day God gives us with our precious girls! Time is short! Reminded constantly to make the most of this phase of life because before I know it they will be grown up!

Little Cowgirl

I love a good fast horse! Nothing is better than the awesome feeling of flying along together with your horse, the wind blowing against your face! It's totally thrilling! Though I haven't ridden in awhile it's still fun to dress like a cowgirl~or dress up my girls!

Thanks to my brother, Josh, (who is a cowboy) Atalisa got these adorable cowgirl boots! She's had them for awhile now, but they finally fit her pretty well! She loves them! Who wouldn't?! Pink and brown~the most amazing combination!

So we had a fun little photoshoot! It's so fun to capture her personality! My girlies are so much FUN! Parenting definitely isn't easy all the time, but the benefits far out way the work!

Love this sweet smile!!

Aty Quotables

Aty: "Want some juice, Mommy?" Me: "Yes!" Aty: Ok, be patient." Then brings me a little cup from her kitchen with some "juice" in it.

Aty got my phone and wanted to take a picture. She said, "Mommy, I'm going to take a smile."

Life from a little ones perspective!

I love the many cute things that toddlers say, and enjoy how they perceive things in life around them!

We were having a picnic lunch with friends, and Atalisa had a few grapes and chips left on her plate. I told her she needed to empty her plate before she ate the longed for rice crispy treat. Without hesitating she picked up the few grapes and chips, and one-at-a-time started putting them on my plate. I just started laughing! I guess she took me literally! She EMPTIED her plate! My little smart cookie! I had to define "empty"!

While we were driving, Atalisa who was talking to Bria says to me, "Mommy, she cute!" I said, "Atalisa's cute too!" She thought for a minute then said, "Mommy, you cute too!"

Aty hearing thunder, says matter-of-factly, "daaaangerous".

Putting Aty to bed the other night she said to me, "mommy, lets do 'Jesus Loves Me'." She then said "sing 'Purple and White'" I was thinking, "Purple and White, Purple and White...what song did I teach her that has Purple and White in it?" I then realized that she wanted to sing "Jesus Loves the Little Children"...

"Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white, {I guess since purple is her favorite color for the present it was "purple and white"! }
All are precious in His sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world."

After we sang she said, "can you pet me?" I sometimes will pat her back as she goes to sleep. I had to laugh when she said "pet".

Aty while playing with the play food in her kitchen set made a plate of food for me. She took my hand and Bria's hand and said, "let's amen mommy ". Guess it's time to thank God for the food!

How I love them! They are so much fun, and are constantly making us smile!

One of the things on our list to do this summer was make some play dough! It was Atalisa's first time! We had so much fun! Thanks to pinterest we found an easy recipe (below) that only takes about ten minutes to make using Kool-aid!

                                                                 Love these little hands!

Here's the recipe that I got from here. I cut the recipe in half and it made plenty of the one color!

Sisters

It's so fun to see how much Atalisa and Bria love playing together! Aty loves her sister to pieces, and can't wait for the day that Bria can run after her! I'm always telling her that she's still a baby and can't walk yet! Even though Bria is determined to do it soon! She's pulling up on everything, and is so much happier when she's standing! I can't believe how fast they grow up!

Aty  tried a few times to pick Bria up! At one such occasion I looked over and she had picked her up. I told her, "you can't do that she's too big for you!" So she just let go of her! Bria stood for a second, and then toppled over. Thankfully, she was on the carpet, and I had to tell her that was something that she couldn't do yet!

Here are a few pictures that I took of the girls!

I love both of their beautiful blue eyes! Just like their daddy's!
