The Simple things in Life

This afternoon Stephen texted me and told me to be ready with the girls when he got off work cause he was going to take me somewhere. We had a wonderful evening together walking (thankfully mostly inside since it was so hot), the girls we able to run and play and get some energy out, and dinner outside in the fresh air! I loved the spontaneity of my husband...It was such a fun time together as a family!

{Not the best pics since they were taken on my phone, but the best memories!}

Getting a ride on daddy's shoulders!

Playing around at the playground.

 Dinner outside enjoying the warm balmy evening together! It was so relaxing and we always love watching our girlies interact! They provide the best entertainment!

We love getting kisses from Daddy!

Exploring the garden together.

Climbing a big rock!

Aty Quotables

Aty was eating breakfast and trying to poke her food with her fork. After trying a few times with little success she exclaimed, "will you cooperate!"

"Mommy, can you warm my juice? It's much too cold."

Aty says to me, "mommy, you need to be kind, and sweet to Bria, and obey. Do you understand? Say 'yes' Aty".  I think someone is repeating what she hears quite often. :)

Aty after eating some pineapple that wasn't very ripe yet says, "mommy, that pineapple was scratchy in my mouth".

Told Atalisa when putting her to bed that she had too much energy and needed to act like a tired person. To which she replied, "I'm not a person, I'm Aty."

I was folding laundry, and had a couple extra hangers which I tossed into a pile a few feet away. Aty tells me, "mommy, you don't throw things" in a very motherly tone. "Yes, you're right mommy shouldn't throw things."

Was getting ready for bed with Aty. She was brushing her teeth and I did mine. I was about to walk out of the bathroom after I finished, and she said to me, "mommy, you didn't wash your eyes (wash my face)." I was glad for the reminder, and  I aways amazed how they thrive on routine and consistency.
