Quotables

Atalisa was talking with me about everyone in our family's hair. She said, "I have straight hair, and Bria has curly hair, and mommy has curly hair." I then said, "and daddy has straight hair." She quickly interjected, "no, daddy has poky hair."

I was doing a exercise dvd. The instructor said, "come on ladies, keep it up!" Aty said, "we're not ladies we're mommy's children!"

Before Robert was born the girls were so eager to meet him! They would always ask when he would come out. I told them when God was finished making him he would come out. Shortly after he was born Aty asked me, "God is done with Robert so he came out?" I said, "yes." She thought for a moment then asked, "will he have to go back in your tummy when it's time for him to get teeth?" I said, "no," and explained how the rest of his growing and developing would be outside of my tummy, thankfully!

Aty brought me a plate of play food. I started to pretend to eat it. She stopped me and said,  "mommy, you need to eat over your plate."

Bria hearing Robert crying when he woke up said, "Robby, I coming, Robby, I coming!" As she ran quickly to him! So sweet to see how she loves her brother!

We usually will travel at night as it is much easier with the kids. After traveling all night when we were coming back from visiting family during the holidays Atalisa woke up and saw the sun rising. She exclaimed, "Mommy, Jesus turned the lights on so we can play now!"

These precious girls sure do crack us up!

 The difference is amazing!!

Oh Wait...

Saw this and made me laugh! So true!

Sometimes it seems like all I hear is: "Mommy!" "She took that (whatever it may be...right now it's the mini princess people) from me!" "Mommy, can you help me." "Mommy, I need to go potty!" "Mommy..."

And...

Sometimes it seems like all I say is: "you need to wait (except not in the case of using the bathroom...in that case it's, hurry, hurry) 😊!" "Don't touch that." "Share with your sister." "Be sweet!"

Sound familiar to any of you mommys {especially with little ones}?!

Today in particular was one of those days! The girls were both having meltdowns and it wasn't even 10 AM! We weren't even close to naptime yet!

I started singing, "This is the day, this is the day, we will REJOICE and be GLAD in it!" It was AMAZING their frowns turned upside down and they started singing and dancing around! I was thinking a couple things...1. Why haven't I done this sooner, and 2. When we praise God with singing it causes us to be THANKFUL and not complain!

My husband told me when one of them came whinning to me about something. "I don't know how you do it all day! If I had to stay home all day long I don't know what I'd do!" Well, truth is we all have moments as mommies where our patience is thin and we feel like we can't do it, or we just want to take a week off from being mom...oh wait, that's not possible is it!?

Thankfully when we've reached the end of our patience and are tempted to get frustrated, irritated, or overwhelmed we can come to God asking Him to give us patience, wisdom, and strength to keep going and raise godly kids for His glory!

Children need lots of nurturing, lots of love, lots of guidance! They need us to be constantly pouring into them! Molding their little hearts to do what's right and learn about God and grow to love Him! It's a BIG responsibility, but so worth it when the good fruits of our labor come in! So keep up the good work!! We're in this together!
